Our Story
The heart and soul of what drives us forward
About Us
Chal Charkha is a pioneering organization dedicated to empowering rural and tribal women through skill training and employment in traditional handloom and handicrafts. Founded on May 9, 2016, under the divine blessings of Digambar Acharya Shri 108 Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, we operate 15+ centers across 7 states, reaching thousands of women in remote communities.
We believe in the philosophy of Truth and Non-violence (Satya and Ahimsa), inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's vision of rural empowerment. Our free training programs help women achieve economic independence while preserving India's rich heritage of traditional arts and crafts.
