Empowering government school girls (Grades 8–12) through mentorship, life skills, and career guidance to enable financial independence & long-term success.
Mentor – Group Mentoring Program

Target Group:
Girls (Grades 8–12) | Government Schools

Program Objective:
To provide sustained, structured, and career-oriented mentoring that builds confidence, emotional resilience, life skills, and long-term aspirations among adolescent girls.

Who We Are Looking For (Volunteer Profile)

Gender: Female volunteers (preferred, for comfort and relatability of students)

Experience:

Working professionals, educators, counselors, HR professionals, trainers, social workers, mentors, or final-year students passionate about youth development

Prior experience in mentoring, teaching, facilitation, or counseling is an added advantage

Language Preference:

Tamil / Telugu / Kannada (regional language proficiency preferred for strong student connect)

Core Qualities:

Passionate, empathetic, patient & committed

High standards of professionalism, reliability & consistency

Strong communication & listening skills

Positive role model & growth mindset

Mode of Support & Engagement

Mentoring Format: Group mentoring (25 students per group)

Mode: In-person mentoring (Nearby government school will be allocated)

Session Frequency: Once a week

Time Commitment: 2 hours per week

Program Duration: Minimum 3–6 months commitment preferred

Session Timing

Weekdays: During school hours, mostly afternoon

Weekends: Depending on school ‘s functioning (Mostly holiday)

What Will Volunteers Do? (Roles & Responsibilities)

Conduct structured mentoring sessions using provided curriculum & toolkits

Facilitate interactive sessions on:

Confidence & communication

Emotional resilience & wellbeing

Goal setting & career awareness

Decision-making & life skills

Engage students through activities, discussions, reflections & case studies

Track student progress and provide regular feedback

Serve as a trusted mentor, guide & role model

(Complete training, session plans & continuous support will be provided)
